Puja Vidhi (Procedure for Ekadashi Vrat Puja)



  1. Swasti Vachan and Sankalp
    – Invocation of auspiciousness and taking a vow to observe the Ekadashi fast.

  2. Ganesh Puja
    – Worship of Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles and grant success.

  3. Kalash Sthapana
    – Installation of a Kalash symbolizing auspiciousness and the presence of deities.

  4. Invocation of Lord Vishnu (Avahanam)
    – Prayer and welcome to Lord Vishnu into the puja place with chanting of sacred mantras.

  5. Shri Vishnu Sahasranama Path
    – Recitation of the thousand names of Lord Vishnu to seek his infinite blessings.

  6. Offerings (Naivedya)
    – Offering fruits, Tulsi leaves, sweets, and water to the deity.

  7. Ekadashi Katha (Story Narration)
    – Listening to the spiritual stories associated with the particular Ekadashi being observed.

  8. Aarti and Vishnu Stuti
    – Performing Aarti to Lord Vishnu with devotion and singing hymns in his praise.

  9. Prasad Distribution
    – Offering and sharing the sacred food blessed by the deity.

  10. Fasting and Breaking the Fast (Parana)
    – Fasting throughout Ekadashi and breaking the fast the next day during Dwadashi as per the correct muhurat.
